See differently,

Think differently.

Using visual tools simplifies complex issues and makes problem solving more efficient and effective.

What is Visual PDCA?

Visual means “relating to sight”.

PDCA stands for Plan, Do, Check, and Act, representing a Deming problem-solving methodology deployed for continuous improvement.

At Toyota, PDCA is a core practice, applied daily to cultivate critical thinking and drive improvements.

Our company integrates these principles to simplify complex issues through visual representations, enhancing communication and collaboration.

In the Toyota Production System (also known as Lean), visual management is a key element used to distinguish normal from abnormal conditions.

Visual PDCA builds on this foundation by tailoring its approach to your business needs, enabling your company to identify and resolve abnormal conditions with clarity, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Our goal is…

To assist you and your company in strategically fitting the right pieces to address your business needs.

We achieve this through operational excellence, leveraging proven Toyota Production System principles to execute strategies, streamline processes, and develop skilled problem-solvers. This approach drives sustainable improvements and fosters a culture of continuous improvement

FOUNDATIONAL CONCEPTS

We integrate the core principles of the Toyota Production System (TPS), commonly referred to as Lean, to embed the following foundational concepts:

  • Systems characterized by clear processes, accurate information, appropriate tools, and well-defined roles/responsibilities.

  • Processes that are standardized and designed with a focus on value-added activities.

  • People are key to the success of systems and processes. With the right tools and a problem-solving approach, a performance mindset is developed to drive continuous improvement and ensure the system's long-term sustainability

OUR APPROACH

  • Visually identify the problem(s) you are trying to solve

  • Understand the current situation holistically

  • Develop a baseline of TPS/Lean through Group Training or One on One

  • Walkthrough the process, observe, and gather facts

  • Investigate and analyze the information

  • Identify the gaps, the causes, and root cause

  • Establish goals/targets
    (short/long term)

  • Develop the implementation plan

  • Agree that the actions taken will address the root causes

  • Communicate the plan from top floor to shop floor

  • Implement the plan

  • Verify that goals/targets were met

  • Verify effectiveness and share the results

  • Celebrate!

  • Establish next steps

“After being trained, I now know the difference between looking at a process vs. observing one.”
